QSolv™ developed a Lan Emulation client (LEC) for a token bridge LAN. Most data traffic in existing enterprises is sent over Local Area Networks like 802.3 or 802.5. These networks provide connectionless services, broadcast and multicast services and a topology independent MAC addressing scheme. ATM networks do not provide any of services. The LEC is primarily used to interface such a widely deployed legacy network with an ATM network.
